I am participating in the Power community dance performance, which will be presented in the Roof Studio at Siobhan Davies Studios this Saturday, June 10, 4-6 PM. This performance is made under the direction of Annie Pui Ling Lok and Juan Ayala, with Jia-Yu Corti and Nathaniel Parchment as movement contributors.
It is an exciting and miraculous possibility for me to meet other participants and return to performing. I did not dance publicly since the pre-pandemic, being focused on completing my Ph.D. dissertation right after the pandemic. The group of dancers gathered for the Power project is amazingly versatile (linguists, writers, visual artists, and many others), immensely international, and very beautiful.
